So, where is the Assassin?

I don't know what happened to the assassin boss (also known as "The Raven"). But it looks like he's been shopping. Does this mean we will get random rewards when he returns?

Assassin's Ride

Assassin's Rifle

Assassin's Pet

ps. on the topic of new items - I could not find any evidence of any new fight club loot.

Free Skill Point

Here is today's free point (it's a skill point). I haven't seen it posted anywhere, which makes me wonder if Zynga just forgot today:

More Brazil Items

With a new set of missions and three extra days to master Staten Island, there is still some time to speculate on upcoming Brazil items. As we already have new items in the city store, these ones most likely drop while doing jobs. Again, no stats are available, as these items do not yet appear in the inventory.

Amazon River Cruiser

Atelid Monkey

Baird's Tapir

Corroded Combat Knife

Fur Seal

Set of Mosquito Pinners

Smoke Squadron Fighter

Three-Banded Armadillo

As usual, the Mafia Wars artists have done a great job!

Brazil Districts 6 - 8

With any luck, the final chapters of Brazil will appear this weekend. Hopefully without one of those ridiculous "slow roll outs". The mastery items don't seem to be listed anywhere yet, so here they are (sorry, I don't have the stats, but expect them to be good).

District 6 - Jangada

District 7 - Machete Dance Prop

District 8 - Margay

Atlantic City Chapter 0

This is something interesting I found the other day, I almost forgot about it, but a recent post about Atlantic City on MW Loot Lady reminded me about it. I thought it might just be the solution for people who are stuck there. For anyone who is not stuck, you'll probably still find the bit about "Chapter 0" interesting :)

Go here to play Atlantic City unframed:

http://m.mafiawars.com/mobileweb?iframe=1

Now, use the following to travel to the different chapters (and leave a comment if this gets you unstuck):

Chapter 1: Uptown

javascript:(function(){loadPage('mobileweb?xw_controller=StoryMobile&xw_action=view&iframe=1&storyId=10')})()

Chapter 2: Broadwalk

javascript:(function(){loadPage('mobileweb?xw_controller=StoryMobile&xw_action=view&iframe=1&storyId=11')})()

Chapter 3: South Jersey

javascript:(function(){loadPage('mobileweb?xw_controller=StoryMobile&xw_action=view&iframe=1&storyId=12')})()

Chapter 4: Camden County

javascript:(function(){loadPage('mobileweb?xw_controller=StoryMobile&xw_action=view&iframe=1&storyId=13')})()

Chapter 0: ???

javascript:(function(){loadPage('mobileweb?xw_controller=StoryMobile&xw_action=view&iframe=1&storyId=9')})()

Notice that although the screen shot says "1: Uptown", the jobs are different, and quite possibly you will be able to master them for skill points. There's six jobs there, so you may be able to get 24 skill points. Please note, I take no responsibility for anyone getting stuck in Atlantic City (only for getting you unstuck) :)

FrameExt - An alternative to unframing in Firefox

Unframing is essential for running most bookmarklets. Sometimes Zynga or Facebook decide to change something and it breaks. Recently, I've had some trouble with popup windows not appearing when unframed.

FrameExt is a Firefox extension that I've found useful. It allows you to run bookmarklets on the Mafia Wars frame, but without unframing it.

Download and install the Firefox addon from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/frameext/ (you will need to restart Firefox to complete the installation).

Copy the link of whatever bookmarklet you want to use. For example, here is Operation-a-nator, from Spockholm Mafia Tools.

Right click somewhere in the Mafia Wars frame. Choose "This Frame", "Change Frame URL" (this is the new option provided by FrameExt).

A popup will appear, paste in the bookmarklet link.

The bookmarklet should run, just as if you were unframed.

Ancient Relic Event - Coming soon!

Three new items are on their way to the gifting page. Most likely it will be another collection event, because right now, they turn into mystery bags with the following message:

You can use the same script that was posted previously, but enter one of the following numbers:

447 - Mayan Calendar
448 - Leopard Tooth
449 - Inca Mask

1) Unframe Mafia Wars
2) Paste this into your address bar:

javascript:(function()%7Bvar%20i%3Dprompt('Gift%20Linker%20v0.5%20(mafiasecrets.blogspot.com)%5Cn%5CnEnter%20a%20Gift%20ID'%2C404)%3Bif(i)%7B%24.post('http%3A%2F%2Ffacebook.mafiawars.com%2Fmwfb%2Fremote%2Fhtml_server.php%3Fxw_controller%3Drequests%26xw_action%3Dfriend_selector%26req_controller%3Dfreegifts%26free_gift_cat%3D1%26free_gift_id%3D'%2Bi%2C%7B'sf_xw_user_id'%3A%2Fsf_xw_user_id%3D(%5Ba-z%5D%5C%7C%5B0-9%5D%2B)%2F.exec(document.body.innerHTML)%5B1%5D%2C'sf_xw_sig'%3Alocal_xw_sig%2C'ajax'%3A'1'%2C'liteload'%3A'1'%7D%2Cfunction(data)%7Bvar%20t%3D%2Fcontent%3D%22(.%2B)%3Cfb%3Areq-choice%20url%3D'(http.%2B)'%20label%3D%26quot%3B(.%2B)%26quot%3B%20.%3E%2F.exec(data)%3B%24.getJSON('http%3A%2F%2Fjson-tinyurl.appspot.com%2F%3F%26callback%3D%3F'%2C%7Burl%3At%5B2%5D%7D%2Cfunction(data)%7Bprompt(t%5B1%5D%2Cdata.tinyurl)%7D)%3B%7D)%3B%7D%7D)()

Here's what they look like, good work Zynga art team!
