Atlantic City Chapter 0

This is something interesting I found the other day, I almost forgot about it, but a recent post about Atlantic City on MW Loot Lady reminded me about it. I thought it might just be the solution for people who are stuck there. For anyone who is not stuck, you'll probably still find the bit about "Chapter 0" interesting :)

Notice that although the screen shot says "1: Uptown", the jobs are different, and quite possibly you will be able to master them for skill points. There's six jobs there, so you may be able to get 24 skill points. Please note, I take no responsibility for anyone getting stuck in Atlantic City (only for getting you unstuck) :)

FrameExt - An alternative to unframing in Firefox

Unframing is essential for running most bookmarklets. Sometimes Zynga or Facebook decide to change something and it breaks. Recently, I've had some trouble with popup windows not appearing when unframed.

FrameExt is a Firefox extension that I've found useful. It allows you to run bookmarklets on the Mafia Wars frame, but without unframing it.

Download and install the Firefox addon from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/frameext/ (you will need to restart Firefox to complete the installation).

Copy the link of whatever bookmarklet you want to use. For example, here is Operation-a-nator, from Spockholm Mafia Tools.

Right click somewhere in the Mafia Wars frame. Choose "This Frame", "Change Frame URL" (this is the new option provided by FrameExt).

A popup will appear, paste in the bookmarklet link.

The bookmarklet should run, just as if you were unframed.

Southlander (expired)

Another mysterious new item! The Southlander has average stats of 43 attack and 30 defense.

You can use the same script that was posted for Pignatas, but enter gift number 430.

What's interesting about this item?

Firstly, you can only accept 5 per day. I don't know why, the stats are nothing special. Maybe all gifts are going to be limited in the future?

Secondly, there is a TNT symbol in the top corner, so maybe it's somehow linked to a special event.

Boss Fight - Confront Giancarlo Morillo

If you started playing Mafia Wars recently, you may not have heard of this boss.

Giancarlo Morillo was the boss of the Street Thug tier in New York. Defeating him would give you a Blackmail Letter.

If you really want to, you can still fight him and get the letter:

2) Go to the Street Thug tier in New York

Requesting DJs

So, half of Italy is open, and it's fairly well-known that there will be an additional property added to the "village".

This new property will be a Nightclub, and it appears that it will require DJ's to build (as well as the usual building parts). It's already possible to get DJ's from Mystery Shipments.

Here's another way to start getting DJ's slightly early. If you haven't requested any building parts today here's something you might want to try:
